The team at Austin FCU spent the afternoon of December 4th volunteering to wrap gifts at Brown Santa.
The Travis County Sheriff’s Brown Santa program is a long-running community initiative that began in the early 1980s. It’s named after the brown uniforms worn by sheriff’s deputies, and its mission is to bring holiday assistance to families in need across Travis County, Texas.
We’ve hosted a barrel and collected monetary donations for Brown Santa for many years, and we’re so happy to have been able to visit and assist with wrapping and packing gifts in person this year.
