Pat Richardson, our Board Member and former Vice President passed away on March 30, 2026. Below is a link to her memorial page, and here are some words from our President Mindy Bayer about Pat:

Pat was a wonderful person, she was on the team that hired Sonia (current Vice President) and I nearly 20 years ago and I’ve had the pleasure of working with her in some capacity every since.

 

She held nearly every role in this Credit Union at some point, from Teller to Vice President, spent time on our Supervisory Committee and served as a Director on our Board since 2024. She had such amazing relationships with our members, and made everyone who she worked with feel seen and important. Her knowledge of Member Service topics was encyclopedic and I never stopped asking her for advice on how to handle sticky topics

 

Aside from her mentorship when it came to Austin FCU matters, Pat was a great friend. She was always game for a conversation about life, and gave me a great deal of advice as a mom and woman in the world. I was so inspired by how much she showed up for her friends and loved ones, and the way her face lit up when she talked about her family. I’ll miss hearing her laugh!

 

Austin FCU was shaped so much by her presence, not only in the processes she developed as a member of the team, but in the training and lessons she left with every member and employee she worked with. She was loved by so many and is going to be missed so, so much.

Per Pat’s wishes, her family is planning a family gathering in lieu of a Funeral or Memorial Service.
